As the New Year begins, the National Academy of Artificial Intelligence (NAAI) extends its warmest greetings and best wishes to AI researchers, engineers, educators, industry partners, and friends around the world who have continuously supported and engaged with the Academy.
Over the past year, artificial intelligence has made remarkable progress across fundamental theory, engineering innovation, and real-world applications. From the evolution of general-purpose model architectures to the accelerated deployment of AI in healthcare, engineering, manufacturing, energy, education, and public governance, artificial intelligence is reshaping human society at an unprecedented pace. At the same time, issues of AI safety, ethics, and governance have become central challenges shared by the global academic and professional communities.
Committed to advancing scientific research, technological innovation, and international collaboration in artificial intelligence, NAAI upholds the core values of academic independence, scientific rigor, and public responsibility. Over the past year, the Academy has continued to expand its global network of scholars, strengthen partnerships with universities, research institutions, and professional organizations worldwide, and promote original research and intellectual exchange through conferences, research initiatives, and academic awards.
Looking ahead, NAAI will further focus on breakthroughs in fundamental AI theory, frontier technological exploration, and research on AI safety and governance, while fostering deeper integration between artificial intelligence and engineering, medicine, and the humanities and social sciences. The Academy will continue to promote international cooperation and inclusive dialogue, contributing to an open, trustworthy, and responsible global AI ecosystem.
