On February 24, exciting news arrived from the internationally renowned academic organization, the IEEE Computer Society. The Society announced the recipients of its 2026 Technical Achievement Awards. Professor Laurence T. Yang, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Zhengzhou University, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, Member of the Academia Europaea, IEEE Fellow, and Member of the National Academy of Artificial Intelligence (NAAI), has been honored with the 2026 Edward J. McCluskey Technical Achievement Award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to cyber-physical-social system design and data analytics.
The Edward J. McCluskey Technical Achievement Award is one of the most influential honors in the fields of computer science and information technology worldwide. Established by the IEEE Computer Society and named after its first president, Edward J. McCluskey, the award recognizes globally distinguished scholars who, over the past 10 to 15 years, have made pioneering and innovative contributions to computer science, computer engineering, and related technologies, significantly advancing the progress of the field.
