Deeply cultivating the field of artificial intelligence and laying the foundation for emotional intelligence research

Professor Ren Fuji is internationally recognized as a pioneer in emotional intelligence robots. Since the 1990s, he has been the first to propose the theoretical frameworks of "emotional computing" and "human-machine empathy", breaking through the limitations of traditional robots that only focus on functionality and introducing human emotional cognitive models into artificial intelligence systems. The "Context Adaptive Emotional Interaction System" developed under its leadership integrates multimodal perception and deep learning technology, endowing robots with the ability to dynamically recognize, understand, and feedback human emotions. It is widely used in fields such as medical accompaniment and educational assistance.

As a cross-cultural academic leader, Professor Ren Fuji has always been committed to promoting academic collaboration and innovation between China, Japan, and Europe. The "East Asia Intelligent Robot Joint Laboratory" led by him brings together top research teams from three countries to overcome core challenges such as cross linguistic sentiment semantic analysis and cultural differences in human-computer interaction. The related achievements have been published in top journals such as IEEE Transactions on Emotion Computing and have won the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Japanese Institute for Electronic Information and Communications Technology (IEICE).

International Influence: Multidimensional Contributions from Research to Education

Professor Ren Fuji's academic career spans across the fields of industry, academia, and research. During his tenure at Tokushima University in Japan, he founded the "Intelligent Systems Research Laboratory" and trained nearly a hundred high-end talents in the field of artificial intelligence. Many of his disciples worked in internationally renowned universities and corporate research and development centers. At the same time, he is also a member of the Asia Pacific Association of Artificial Intelligence (AAIA), the Chinese Association of Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), etc., who promotes the sustainable development of AI technology by organizing global academic summits and formulating industry ethical standards.
