Waseda University Professor Jin Qun has been elected as a NAAI Corresponding member!

Professor Jin Qun, a doctoral supervisor at Waseda University and a foreign academician of the Japanese Academy of Engineering, has been officially elected as a Corresponding member of the National Academy of Artificial Intelligence (NAAI) for his outstanding contributions in research and applications in information systems, behavioral and cognitive informatics, big data analysis and processing, information retrieval and recommendation, human-computer interaction, personal modeling, and personalized services. This honor is not only a global recognition of Professor Jin Qun's academic influence, but also highlights NAAI's core mission of promoting technology inclusiveness and interdisciplinary innovation.

Deeply cultivate edge intelligence and solve the bottleneck of computing power 

Professor Jin Qun is a pioneer and leader in the field of international intelligent edge computing. Simultaneously serving as a distinguished professor and academic advisor of the School of Information Engineering at China University of Metrology, part-time professor at Peking University Shenzhen Research Institute, and honorary president of the Japan Alumni Association at Hangzhou Dianzi University. He has long been committed to solving the core contradiction between the limited computing power of edge devices and real-time requirements, proposing the "Dynamic Resource Collaboration Theory", which significantly improves the operational efficiency of distributed systems by optimizing computing resource allocation and task scheduling mechanisms. The "ultra-low latency edge intelligent decision-making framework" developed by its team has successfully shortened the response speed of industrial Internet of Things, smart cities and other scenarios to milliseconds. The related technology has won more than 40 international patents and won the 2022 ACM Outstanding Scientist Award. 

In terms of industry university research integration, Professor Jin Qun led the launch of the "Intelligent edge computing Collaborative Innovation Alliance", and joined hands with leading enterprises and research institutions such as Huawei and Microsoft Research Asia to promote the development of the "Edge Intelligent Technology Standards" and the "edge computing Security White Paper", laying the foundation for the standardized development of the industry. The "Edge Intelligence White Paper" edited by him has become an authoritative guide for global developers and enterprises.

Global Contribution: From Academic Heights to Ethical Practice 

Professor Jin Qun's academic influence radiates globally. Jin Qun was the first to propose the concepts and methods of Personal Analytics and Unified Individual Modeling, as well as the theoretical framework for the integration and sustainable utilization of personal big data, opening up new avenues for the sustainable and effective utilization of personal big data. We have conducted research on personalized service modeling and recommendation mechanism based on personal information behavior analysis, and applied it to social learning behavior analysis and smart health and care support based on big data mining in the Internet of Things and ubiquitous computing environment. We have collaborated with domestic and foreign universities to conduct research on social data analysis based on social roles and personalized service recommendation mechanisms based on composite trust. We have established a series of quantitative theories and methods for indicators such as social role importance, influence, and trust. The relevant results have been published in academic journals such as IEEE Transactions and ACM Transactions. I have been invited multiple times to give keynote speeches at IEEE international conferences and to give special presentations at APEC and Intel advanced forums.
