Chi Xu

Chi Xu is a Full Professor with the State Key Laboratory of Robotics and Intelligent Systems, Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He is a national-level young talent in China, a distinguished backbone researcher of CAS and a Doctoral Supervisor with the University of CAS. 

His research interests include industrial control systems, 5G/6G, edge computing, and industrial artificial intelligence. He has published 3 academic monographs, authored more than 100 papers, applied for more than 50 patents and held 7 software copyrights. He won the Outstanding Scientific and Technological Achievement Award of CAS, two Liaoning Provincial Natural Science Academic Achievement Awards, the Gold Medal at the 50th Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions.

He serves as a standardization delegate for 3GPP TSG RAN, the deputy head of the smart manufacturing group of the international SparkLink wireless short-range communication alliance. Previously, he served as a voting member of IEEE 1918.1 working group for tactile Internet as well as a member of IEEE 1932.1 working group for licensed/unlicensed spectrum interoperability in wireless mobile networks. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, Chinese Institute of Electronics, Chinese Association of Automation, China Computer Federation, China Institute of Communications, and Chinese Institute of Command and Control.
