Statement of the National Academy of Artificial Intelligence
National Academy of Artificial Intelligence
(NAAI) hereby issues the following statement:
All academic titles, memberships, and honorary designations conferred by the National Academy of Artificial Intelligence are awarded strictly without any form of fees or charges.
The Academy has never authorized, and will never authorize, any individual or organization to promise, sell, broker, or influence NAAI titles or memberships in exchange for payment.
Any claim or activity suggesting that NAAI honors or memberships can be obtained through payment is entirely false and has no affiliation with NAAI.
To avoid public misunderstanding, the Academy clarifies its academic membership and title system as follows:
I. Senior Research Fellow
May be applied for directly by the applicant through official NAAI procedures
Awarded upon independent review by the relevant academic evaluation committee
Classified as a research-oriented and project-based academic position
II. Corresponding Member
A category within the Member system, designated for correspondence-based engagement
May be applied for by the applicant or nominated by affiliated NAAI academic entities
Intended for scholars and professionals with established academic or industry contributions who maintain active academic interaction with the Academy
Granted following formal review and approval procedures
III. Member
The core academic membership of the National Academy of Artificial Intelligence
Not open to self-application
Candidates must be nominated by one of the following:
An incumbent Member of NAAI; or
An officially recognized global subsidiary or affiliated institution of NAAI, including but not limited to research institutes, research centers, and technology transfer centers
All nominations are subject to rigorous academic evaluation and final approval
The National Academy of Artificial Intelligence remains firmly committed to the principles of academic independence, integrity of honors, procedural transparency, and non-commercialization of academic recognition.
Any behavior that undermines academic credibility or misuses the Academy’s name will be firmly opposed.
This statement is hereby issued.
