Tong Wang

Dr. Tong Wang is a Professor at the Information and Communication College, Harbin Engineering University, China. He serves as Dean of the Heilongjiang Provincial Key Laboratory of Intelligent Perception and Swarm Intelligence Computing. He worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Surrey, UK, from 2014 to 2015, 

His research interests include swarm intelligence, the Internet of Things, edge computing, and integrated sensing and communication. He has authored or co-authored over 100 research articles, 32 patents, four books, and several book chapters. He has supervised numerous national research and development projects valued at several million USD and has mentored 13 PhD students. His work has been recognized with nearly ten provincial and ministerial-level science and technology awards, including a Special Award from the Governor of Heilongjiang Province, five Heilongjiang Provincial Science and Technology Awards, and a National Federation of Industry and Commerce Science and Technology Award.

Dr. Wang has been actively involved in professional activities across ACM, IEEE, and CCF. He currently serves as Deputy Director of the Internet of Things Special Committee of Heilongjiang Province, a member of the World 5G Autonomous Driving Alliance (5GAA), an Executive Member of the Collaborative Computing Professional Committee of the Chinese Computer Society, and a member of multiple other professional committees including the IoT Professional Committee of the Chinese Computer Society, the Vehicle Networking Professional Committee of the China Communications Society, and the Intelligent Information Network Professional Committee of the Artificial Intelligence Society, etc. He serves on the editorial board or guest editor of several international journals. He has organized several IEEE/ACM/CCF conferences and received multiple Best Paper Awards at international conferences.
