Xin Wang

Xin Wang is a Distinguished Professor at the School of Artificial Intelligence at Tianjin University. He obtained his Ph.D. and Bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Technology from Nankai University in 2009 and 2004, respectively, and worked as a visiting scholar at the University of Western Australia and Griffith University, Australia.His previous academic roles include serving as the Vice-Dean of the School of Artificial Intelligence at the College of Intelligence and Computing, Tianjin University.

He is a Lifetime Member of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI), a Member of CAAI Committee on Education, a Distinguished Member of China Computer Federation (CCF), the Secretary-General of CCF Technical Committee on Information Systems (CCF TCIS), a Standing Committee Member of CCF Technical Committee on Databases (CCF TCDB), an Executive Committee Member of CCF Expert Committee on Big Data, a Member of Chinese Information Processing Society of China (CIPSC), and a Member of CIPSC Technical Committee on Language and Knowledge Computing.

Prof. Xin Wang’s research interests include knowledge graphs, large language models, and knowledge data processing. He has been the Principal Investigator of the National Key Research and Development Project of China, and four research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). He has authored four books, published more than 150 research papers in various international conferences and journals, including IEEE TKDE, WWW, SIGMOD, VLDB, ICDE, IJCAI, AAAI, CIKM, and ISWC, and 20 engineering patents. He served as a Program Committee Chair of international conferences including WISE2025, DASFAA2023, and APWeb-WAIM2020. He is an Associate Editor of the international journals of Knowledge-Based Systems, World Wide Web, Data Science and Engineering, Big Data Research, and Natural Language Processing Journal.
