Management Selection and Appointment Mechanism
The management team of the National Academy of Artificial Intelligence (NAAI) plays a critical role in steering the organization towards achieving its strategic goals in advancing AI research, education, and industry collaboration worldwide. To ensure transparency, professionalism, and effective governance, NAAI adopts the following selection and appointment mechanism for its leadership positions.

2. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates for management positions should meet the following requirements:
Demonstrated leadership experience in AI research, education, policy, or industry.
Proven track record of organizational management or governance.
Active current involvement with NAAI as an Academy Member or Senior Member.
Strong commitment to the mission and values of NAAI.
No conflicts of interest that could compromise duties.
3. Nomination Process
Nominations can be submitted by existing NAAI management members, Academy Members, or via self-nomination with endorsement.
Nominations must include a CV, statement of vision/intent, and at least one supporting reference.
The NAAI Secretariat coordinates the nomination collection.
4. Screening and Evaluation
A Nominations Committee, appointed by the Executive Council, reviews all candidate submissions for completeness and eligibility.
The committee assesses candidates based on leadership skills, domain expertise, contribution to NAAI, and strategic vision.
Interviews or presentations may be requested for key positions.
5. Voting and Appointment
The Executive Council conducts a formal vote on the recommended candidates.
Candidates must receive a majority vote (>50%) of the Executive Council members present to be appointed.
In the event of multiple qualified candidates, a runoff vote is held.
6. Term and Renewal
Management terms typically last two to three years, depending on the position.
Reappointment is possible but requires nomination and a new vote.
Term limits or rotation policies may apply to promote diversity and renewal.
7. Announcement and Onboarding
Appointment decisions are formally announced to all members via official channels.
New appointees receive orientation and support for smooth transition into their roles.
8. Removal and Replacement
Management members may be removed for cause, including failure to fulfill duties, conflict of interest, or misconduct.
Removal follows due process involving investigation and vote by the Executive Council.
Vacancies are filled via the standard nomination and appointment process.
