Notice: Launch of Global AI Joint Research Center Initiative
The National Academy of Artificial Intelligence (NAAI) is proud to announce the launch of its Global AI Joint Research Center Initiative, designed to advance international collaboration and innovation in artificial intelligence.
Strategic Vision & Goals
Build a global network of AI Joint Research Centers, in collaboration with leading universities, research institutes, and international science organizations.
Priority research themes include trustworthy and ethical AI, AI-powered climate solutions, AI in healthcare and education, and AI governance and policy frameworks.
Enable shared infrastructure and expertise: jointly develop datasets, establish computing platforms, and organize cross-institutional talent exchange and training.
Role & Structure of Research Centers
Each affiliated center will:
Facilitate joint AI research projects, international workshops, and visiting scholar programs.
Support student exchange and co-supervised research, cultivating global AI talent.
Implement pilot deployments of AI technologies in domains like smart cities, environmental monitoring, public health, and education.
Conduct policy-focused research bridging AI innovation with governance and regulation.
Invitation to Partner Institutions
NAAI welcomes expressions of interest from:
University-based AI institutes, national labs, or specialized research entities with strengths in AI safety, model governance, social impact applications, or healthcare AI.
Organizations committed to open science, reproducible evaluation, and inclusive global partnerships.
Interested institutions are invited to submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) including:
Overview of institutional capabilities and AI focus areas
Suggested topics for collaboration with NAAI
Available research infrastructure and expertise
Proposed timeline, metrics, and impact evaluation plan

Selected centers will formalize collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with NAAI and jointly implement short- and mid‑term research and capacity-building initiatives.

Promote AI applications aligned with ethical, responsible, and regionally relevant goals.
Foster coordinated innovation among academia, policy-makers, and industry to address global challenges.
