Professor Yan Cao
Dean, School of Computer Science and Engineering, Xi’an Technological University
Professor Yan Cao is a distinguished scholar and educator in the field of computer science and intelligent manufacturing. He currently serves as Dean of the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Xi’an Technological University, and holds the title of Doctor, Postdoctoral Research Fellow, and Second-Class Professor.
Professor Cao’s research focuses on digital design and manufacturing, computational intelligence, complex system modeling, and AI-driven industrial technologies. He has led numerous national and provincial research projects, including programs supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Science and Technology. His work bridges artificial intelligence with engineering applications, emphasizing the digital transformation of advanced manufacturing.
He is an Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, a member of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and serves on several national expert committees related to intelligent manufacturing and automation. Professor Cao also acts as a chief engineer for small and medium-sized enterprises in Shaanxi Province, and as a committee member of the Xi’an Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce.
Under his leadership, the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Xi’an Technological University has strengthened its research in artificial intelligence, big data analytics, intelligent perception, and industrial automation, fostering collaboration between academia, research institutions, and industry partners.
Professor Cao is dedicated to promoting innovation, interdisciplinary cooperation, and talent cultivation in the era of intelligent technology, contributing to China’s advancement in smart manufacturing and digital engineering.
