Xuxun Liu

Xuxun Liu received his Ph.D. in Communications and Information Systems from Wuhan University, China. He was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley and The Ohio State University in the United States under the Chinese Government Scholarship Program. He is the Director of the Internet of Things Research Group, South China University of Technology, China. His research focuses on intelligent monitoring, smart health, intelligent transportation, and intelligent computing. He has led four national-level projects, five ministerial or provincial-level projects, and several other research initiatives. He holds 15 granted Chinese patents, and has published over 100 academic papers, including more than 10 single-author papers, over 6 ESI highly cited papers, over 20 papers in IEEE Transactions series, and more than 10 papers in IEEE Journal series. He won the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Award, was honored as a ScholarGPS Highly Ranked Scholar – Lifetime, an accolade released by ScholarGPS that places him among the top 0.05% of scholars worldwide, and was also among the World’s Top 2% Scientists List by Stanford University and Elsevier in both the Career-Long and Single-Year impact rankings.
