Chair Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, National Leading Talent, Founder of Intelligent Information Physics System Laboratory. Fellow of IET, member of IEEE Smart World ETTC Technical Committee, member of IEEE Smart World and Ubiquitous Intelligent Computing Conference Steering Committee, invited to serve as an expert reviewer for research fund projects in countries such as the UK, EU, Denmark, Chile, Canada, Cyprus, and the Netherlands.

Engage in research on fundamental theories, methods, advanced technologies, and their applications in data science and artificial intelligence. Specific research directions include scenario computing, computational behavior analysis, cognitive data analysis, symbolic artificial intelligence, semantic (ontology or graph) knowledge representation, hybrid human-computer intelligence combining computational intelligence and symbolic intelligence, decision support, as well as multimodal (such as speech and sign language) human-computer interaction technology and personalization. The main application areas are intelligent cyber physical systems based on the Internet of Things and mobile computing for multi-source, multi form, dynamic spatiotemporal big data analysis, including digital healthcare/medical care, intelligent transportation, network security, smart cities, unmanned aerial vehicles, online social computing, etc. Special focus is placed on scenario computing, activity recognition, user centricity, and personalized application orientation. Through intelligent modeling and analytical reasoning driven by a mixture of data and knowledge, systematic research is conducted on "perception cognition intelligence" (data understanding reasoning and decision-making).
