Xuan Bian, dual Ph.D., postdoctoral fellow at Oxford University. 

GE healthcare Medical Director of Great China, Visiting Professor at the Department of Life Sciences, School of Medicine, University of Leicester. Fellow of The Royal Society of Medicine.

With over ten years of experience in global new drug development, academic collaboration, and clinical practice, has developed extensive expertise in full lifecycle drug development and clinical application management, healthcare knowledge management innovation, innovative drug development and new product launches, policy-driven medical innovation projects, and digital innovation based on artificial intelligence and big data technologies. Xuan Bian has been responsible for multiple international clinical studies, leading or supporting research across disease areas including CVM, lung cancer, abdominal tumors, liver and pancreatic cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, osteoporosis, and hepatitis. She has supported over 20 global studies, managing Phase III-IV clinical trials including protocol development and revision, safety management, data management based on PMP, SOP, and ICH-GCP standards, development of clinical research tools and systems, and training of certification mentors. As Clinical Project Management Leader (PML),she supported five global Phase IV studies. IIT/IST collaborations involved institutions such as the University of Oxford, the University of Tokyo, National Taiwan University Hospital, Veterans General Hospital in Taiwan, the University of Hong Kong, and the Biomedical Research Institute in the United States.

Xuan Bian has participated in medical innovation projects, including provincial and municipal pilot applications of CDSS projects, cooperative selection theme management of Xinhuanet, pilot research and application of AI facial recognition in the CNS field, and pilot application of intelligent small program projects.

Throughout Xuan Bian's career, Xuan Bian has received numerous awards including the 2025 PDX China Annual Award-Culture Spirit Award, the 2025 GMS Innovation Award for Delivering the Future of Healthcare, the 2024 GMS/PDX China Culture Spirit Award, the 2024 SNZ 1st China Consensus Published Award, the 2024 GMS China STAR Award, the 2022 Best Leadership by Deliver with Focus Award, the 2021 GMS Act with Humility Award, the 2020 Lead with Transparency Award, the 2020 GMS Impact Award for Multicenter Clinical Study Management, the 2019 GMS Impact Award for International Medical Platform Building etc.

 Xuan Bian is a member of the Asian-Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver (APASL), and has participated in the Nature Master Class 2025 and the BMJ Editor Seminar 2023 Programme. Through Xuan Bian's work in global clinical research and cross-border academic cooperation and has contributed to advancing international collaboration in medical innovation and clinical practice, and committed to promoting the integration of innovative technologies and evidence-based research across healthcare communities worldwide.
